The Ton Sai waterfall is among the more modestly sized cascades located in a thick jungle setting inside the Khao Phra Thaeo National Park the most northeastern part of Phuket. Ton Sai is the lesser known waterfall in the national park with Bang Pae waterfall being the most prominent one. To get to Ton Sai waterfall you’re in for quite a walk if your starting point is Bang Pae, but you can also reach there by car or motorbike coming from the Thepkrassatri Road (the airport road). The national park is very peaceful and gives you a glimpse of what Phuket once may have been like, before its jungles were cleared away for the sake of tin mining and tourism.
Most park visitors come to sit and relax at the base of the falls, where there’s a small pool, but if you want to get more thrill out of the trip, we suggest you to take one of the trails leading through the national park.
