The words Sai Kaew don’t only have a beautiful sound to them, but also a meaning. Translated to English it means 'glass sand’. The Sai Kaew beach is located at the most norther tip of Phuket. Sai Kaew beach stretches all the way from Mai Khao beach around the northwestern edge of Phuket, and all the way towards the Sarasin Bridge.
The 600 meter long Sarasin bridge links the island of Phuket, to the mainland of Thailand. From the beach of Sai Kaew, you’ll have a beautiful overview of the narrow channel towards a beach with similar beauty on the Thai mainland.
