The beach of Mai Khao is situated on the northwestern coast of Phuket island. The marvellous strip of sand, with a total length of 11 km. is still undeveloped to this day, as it is part of the Sirinat National Park.
The sand of Mai Khao Beach is beyond match, the finest in Phuket. If you are looking for a quiet spot to take long walks without seeing another soul around, you’ll find the Mai Khao beach to be merely deserted and ready for exploration.
A short distance out into the water, there is a sharp drop off into the Andaman Sea, making swimming dangerous from May to November.
