About This Attraction
Indy Market. That sounds mysterious, in a positive kind of way of course. The name of the market does definitely not disappoint either. The Indy Market on the Dibuk Rd., is known as “laadploykong” to the Thais, which in English means “a market to let go of your goods”. That’s, well, so - Indy. The market is located near Phuket Town and is opening its stalls and area twice a week.
The market is mainly populated with locals, among those especially teenagers and young adults, who come to enjoy themselves with the special offerings of the street vendors there, the live performances, drinks and much more. To both locals, expats and visitors this small market is definitely worth a visit, especially because it is still relatively unknown among the masses. To take in the feeling of the whole place, it takes about 15-20 minutes and you’ll quickly get the happy, carefree feeling that the frequent visitors so much enjoys. Stay around for longer and you’ll make friends for life.
